Who we are

Along with film and television production, I have worked on many other projects including commercials, reality TV, and industrial training videos.

I was the Gaffer for the reality show “Changing Lanes” that was built to “provide our viewers a window into the often overlooked world of aspiring minority and female NASCAR drivers.”

I worked as the Gaffer for cinematographer Mark Knobil on scenes for this special.

I was the Gaffer for Norris Brock on the 1998 Discovery Channel special called A Matter of National Security (based on Clyde W. Burleson’s book, The Jennifer Project (1977)) and again in 1999, on a PBS Cold War submarine episode of NOVA.[21][22]

I was the Gaffer for cinematographer Rege Becker on the 1992 PBS Inauguration special featuring The Muppets.

I was a grip on this grass roots local documentary.”The violence that erupted at Carnegie Steel’s giant Homestead mill near Pittsburgh on July 6. 1892 caused a congressional investigation and trials for treason, motivated a nearly successful assassination attempt on Frick, contributed to the defeat of President Benjamin Harrison for a second term, and changed the course of the American labor movement.” Great film by an amazing group of people.

The freelance commercial production world has given me the opportunity to work as Chief Lighting Technician/Gaffer on many national, regional and Mom and Pop Local spots including clients such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Toyota, Nationwide, Craftsman Tools, NASCAR, Ashley Furniture, NAPA Autoparts, Haas Racing, Lowe’s Foods, ESPN, Farm Insurance, Gatorade, Pittsburgh Pirates, McDonalds, Make a Wish Foundation, Trane Air Conditioners and many others.

My industrial training experience was built upon many of my early years working with Development Dimensions International with tremendously talented crews, both in production and post production.

WQED afforded me so many great opportunities while coming up through the ranks during the early part of my career. As a regular part time crew member, I got to work on so many great projects including the Great TV Auction and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. I’ve been so lucky to work with so many great people.

After leaving Pittsburgh, I took a full time gig with WTVI TV in Charlotte as a Production Specialist while my family and I got settled in our new city. As High Definition technology descended on the industry,  I moved up to direct, produce and edit both live and recorded shows. Eventually, I developed the award winning documentary “The QueensCup Steeplechase.”  I am grateful for this experience and proud of the work I did there but, after close to 5 years the film and television world would call me back.

Working on the grip rigging crew for this show along side so many talented and good people has really made a big difference in the last couple of years.

Since permanently relocating to Charleston, SC, I have working with the Electric rigging crew for “Outer Banks.”
